How it works

00:00 → 00:12

Anatomy of a 12-second AI rap video

Every duo video follows the same tight structure. Here's the default 12-second version, second by second.

  1. 0:00

    The beat drops

The beat starts on the first frame. You stand shoulder to shoulder, each at your own vintage mic, nodding along.

  2. 0:00–0:05

    Verse 1

Person 1 leans in and raps the first verse, about 16 to 22 words, lip-synced to your lyrics. Person 2 reacts beside them.

  3. 0:05–0:10

    Verse 2

Person 2 answers with the second verse in a different voice while person 1 rides the beat. With the roast topic, they turn and aim it at each other.

  4. 0:10–0:11.5

    The hook

Both lean in and shout the hook together, 1 to 6 words. On the Melodic beat they sing it instead.

  5. 0:11.5–0:12

    Hand slap and laugh

A quick hand slap, a laugh, and it ends. Short enough to loop, long enough to land a joke.

How it works

From selfie to rap video in three steps

A few minutes, no filming, no editing.

  1. ONE

    Upload your selfies

One clear, front-facing selfie per person. Use Duo from one photo if both of you are in a single picture, or Solo if only one person raps.

  2. TWO

Pick the stage, beat and words

Choose a stage like the Hotel Lobby orange booth or the neon studio, then a beat: Trap, Boom bap or Melodic. Pick a topic and rewrite the lyrics as much as you like.

  3. THREE

    Render and share

Rendering usually takes 2–5 minutes. Download a 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9 MP4 with no watermark and post it to TikTok, Reels, Shorts or the group chat.

Who to cast

Who to cast in your AI rap video

Any two people with a selfie and a shared joke. These pairings are a good place to start. Just make sure everyone in the video agreed to be in it.

Your best friend

The classic. Years of inside jokes squeezed into two verses and one shouted hook. Start with the best friends topic in the orange booth.

Your partner

Use the love topic with the Melodic beat on the rooftop at night for a sung version. Or pick who cooks and settle the kitchen argument on beat.

The birthday person

Put them at the mic with you and send it the morning of. The birthday topic has a ready-made verse; add their name and one detail only you'd know.

Your grandparents

Two grandparents rapping over boom bap is the clip the family chat will play on repeat. Ask them first, use clear photos and pick the family topic.

A coworker

The coworkers topic turns meetings and inbox pain into a verse for the team channel. Good after a launch, a win or a very long week.

Two people who'd never rap

Your dad and his golf buddy. Your shyest friend and your loudest. The less likely the pair, the harder it lands.

What is an AI rap video generator?

An AI rap video generator turns photos into a short music video. You upload selfies, choose or write the lyrics, and the AI makes a beat and renders the people in your photos rapping those words, with their lips in sync.

Kiravu does it in the browser. Upload one selfie per person, a single photo of two people side by side, or one selfie for a solo verse. Pick one of 9 stages, 3 beats and 13 topics with ready-made lyrics, then edit every line. A few minutes later you have a short vertical video (12 seconds by default) of you and a friend trading verses at two vintage mics and shouting the hook together.

There is no app to install, nothing to film and nothing to edit. Videos are rendered by ByteDance Seedance, which builds the clip from your photos and generates the audio with it. The vocals and the beat are AI-generated and original; Kiravu never uses an existing song's recording or lyrics.

FAQ

AI rap video generator FAQ

Is Kiravu free?

No. A standard video costs 10 credits, there are no free trial credits, and the cost shows before you tap the button. The rap name generator and rap duo name generator are free and need no account.

How much does an AI rap video cost?

A standard song (12 seconds at 720p on Standard) is 10 credits; 480p is 5, and faster or sharper models, 1080p and longer clips cost more. The Single pack is $9.99 for 10 credits; larger packs and plans lower the price per song, down to about $1 on the $600 Studio yearly plan. Full price table on the pricing page.

How long does it take?

Usually 2 to 5 minutes. You can leave the page; the finished video is saved in My videos.

What photos work best?

Clear, front-facing selfies in good light, one face per photo in duo mode, shoulders visible, no sunglasses or heavy filters. JPG, PNG or WEBP up to 10 MB.

Can I write my own lyrics?

Yes. Edit verse 1, verse 2 (about 16 to 22 words each in a 12-second song; shorter clips get shorter verses) and the hook (1 to 6 words). English works best, Chinese works well, and other major languages usually work.

Does Kiravu do the Hotel Lobby trend?

Yes. The Hotel Lobby orange booth stage recreates the look with your faces and an original verse. Kiravu is not affiliated with the artists or COLORS and does not use the original song or lyrics.

Can I upload photos of someone else?

Only if they agreed. Celebrities and public figures are not allowed. Photos are used only to render your video and are deleted from storage after 7 days.

What if a render fails?

The credits come back to your account automatically, so failed renders are free. Every finished video also gets a lyric check: if the first take misses too many words, it re-renders once for free. If both takes miss, you get the better take, and the credits come back automatically when even that take gets under 30% of the words right (up to 2 automatic lyric refunds per account in 30 days); otherwise support reviews it within 7 days. See the refund policy.
